Maddy Shimizu

Maddy Shimizu has been translating and interpreting for more than 20 years, and it’s still her favourite thing to do! After stints working at Keio University and the Australian Embassy in Tokyo, she went freelance in 2014 while also teaching translation and interpreting at the University of Queensland (until 2023). She is currently the Director in charge of Professional Development at JAT.
