Ayre, Stuart (エアー, スチュアート) I'm a freelance technical translator based in Nagoya. This is going to be my third PROJECT and am looking forward to the experience as always. Looking at the program, it's going to be tough choosing which room to go to for much of the day. I'm particularly looking forward to Marian Kinoshita's presentation on starting a business (as I recently went freelance), Charles Aschmann's presentation on comparing CAT tools (I'm a TRADOS user but would like an objective comparison of the other options available), the panel discussion on earning the rates you deserve (for obvious reasons), and the workshop on the Alexander Technique by Daiju Yokoe (I'd like to find out how people who sit before a computer all day long can stay healthy).

Helped Toyoda Machine Works’ marketing of their robotics and sensor business to U.S. autocompanies in 1990s. Helped to sell some other Japanese automation equipment to GM. Courted Ford, GM and Chrysler in trying to market Japanese products with some successes. I was translating technical documents on a side in those days. Full-time translator since 1995 translating J2E and E2J mainly technical documents including patents.”
